Post-Surgery Instructions

Meals

You can eat once you’re able to drink water without feeling nauseous. However, it is best to avoid spicy or highly stimulating foods.

Washing and Makeup

Before removing the stitches, clean only non-surgical areas with a damp towel. Full-face washing and makeup are allowed starting the day after stitch removal. Be gentle around incision areas when washing your face. (Do not wear false eyelashes or apply a semi-permanent tattoo until at least 1 month after surgery.)

Medication

Take the prescribed medication regularly at the scheduled times. If you experience diarrhea, hives, or other side effects, contact the clinic immediately. Do not take aspirin or vitamin E for the first week after surgery, as it may cause bleeding.

Ice Packs and Wound Care

Use cold packs for the first 3–4 days, and then switch to warm packs from days 5–7. Avoid rubbing or putting pressure on the surgical area.

Exercise

Avoid exercise until at least 1 month after surgery.

Smoking/Alcohol

Do not drink alcohol or smoke for at least 1 month after surgery, as this can delay healing and increase the risk of infection.

Sleep Position

For the first week, keep your head elevated above your heart to reduce swelling, and avoid bending your neck. For 3 months after surgery, sleep on your back with your face facing the ceiling. Avoid sleeping on your side or stomach.
